Edie expects to see many things at the beach—waves crashing, sand sculptures, shells—but what she doesn’t expect to find are three fun loving Sea Sprites. They gracefully demonstrate their magical abilities to Edie but are unaware of the man-made dangers they face—and it is up to Edie to save them. Edie and the Surf Sprites is a magical adventure filled with fantastic characters that brings awareness of how important it is to look after our environment and the creatures found within it.

Dianne has written poetry and stories all her life and has recently tapped into the wondrous world of children’s imaginations. She loves reading her stories to children, watching as they become absorbed in her characters and words. Dianne lives in a cozy village on the east coast of Australia and looks forward to continuing to write books that children will read, enjoy, and remember.

Angela Peláez-Vargas is a Colombian-born author and illustrator of children’s books. After working in advertising in Colombia and Spain, she turned to storytelling. Her picture books mix the real and the magical, often making you wonder what’s what, and somewhere, the moon is always watching. She lives in Barcelona.
