A young girl overcomes her fear of the sea to search for a mysterious fish.
Isla’s fear of what lurks below the water is stopping her from meeting Big Blue, a blue groper. While her friends investigate the waters around them, Isla sits and waits. But when she finally becomes brave enough to join the search, they find that Big Blue is hiding, and they swim on without noticing him. As Isla clambers out of the bay, she slips and falls into the water—only to discover that Big Blue is waiting to meet her. Big Blue is a beautifully illustrated and encouraging story that celebrates childhood adventure, confidence, and friendship.
